Drywall
Plans Tear Out Framing & Wiring DryWall Hung First Cabinets brought in Candid Photos
Update 7/24/2008:
Drywall is hung! Now they need to tape & texture which will take another 2-3 days. Probably not done till early next week.
It was a very harried last few days, getting all the nailer boards in for the drywall and making sure we got all the wiring complete. I gotta say it's kind of nerve-racking wondering what we forgot. Just the day before I had the epiphany to wrap the plumbing stack in insulation (so we won't hear the water running down the pipes from the Master Bath while in the Kitchen).. We also took that expanding foam and some tight mesh and covered all the holes to try and keep the mice out for good this time.
I'm so glad I didn't do the drywall. The guy was outstanding, and finished in 7 hours. I would have taken 7 days. The fun part was getting the hood up after they laid the first wall so they could drywall over it.
Michelle and TJ made a lot of progress on the suspended ceiling. They got past the walls that needed to be drywalled, which was important. The ceilings are really looking nice.
Note: Sorry about the water spots on the camera. I think it's internal to the camera as I cleaned the lense)
Drywall is hung! It starts to give you a good picture of what is shaping up.
Here is the vent hood installed after they drywalled the first wall.
