Astronomy

I'm really into Astronomy. It all started back in 1989 when I bought a house in the "country" and was amazed at all the stars I could see at night. My passion began with a Celestron 8" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. After completing my Messier list in 1995, I decided to jump hole hog and have a 20" dobsonian telescope custom made for me by Chuck Detlof of Telescopes & More (that's me & my baby above). It is a fantastic scope.
In August 2001, I went to the Oregon Star Party. You can read about my trip here.
Down Under Astronomy. In May of 2001, I visited Australia with the sole purpose of viewing the night skies for over a week. You can read about my exploits here.
Sidewalk Astronomy. This is the "cliff notes" of Astronomy. Great resource to learn a little bit about everything. I authored this a few years back to hand out at public star parties. It has many references if you find astronomy as fascinating as I do and want to learn more. If you want the original word document (suitable for printing), e-mail me at tbmiller@easytreet.com
